Supporting Healthy Kids

MARILYN THORSEN GLINSKAS
Marilyn Thorsen Glinskas ’76, a school nurse with the Stanislaus County Office of Education, received the excellence in school nursing award presented by the California School Nurses Organization. In July, she represented California at the National Association of School Nurses Conference in Indianapolis. As well, Marilyn serves on the state’s Government Relations Committee.

The lead school nurse for the Empire Union School District since 1986, she covers eight schools, some of which are rural, and travels up to 500 miles each month on her appointed rounds. Marilyn, who recently earned a master’s degree in education from California State University Stanislaus, lives in Modesto, California.
