Alumna, pharmaceutical leader Nancy Lurker shares lessons learned on the job

She shared insights with SPU students and faculty from her 30-year career leading pharmaceutical corporations.

One lesson Lurker has learned is the importance of “failing fast” — learning from mistakes and moving on quickly.

“In life there is a little bit of luck, lots of perseverance, and, for me, enjoyable hard work,” she said. “I made a lot of mistakes — I learned, and I learned to pick myself back up.”
